So you’re getting married, what is the first thing that you do? I mean aside from telling your family and show your new ring off on Facebook. You go dress shopping, right? Of course, you would never pick a dress for one of the most important days of your life of Instagram or Google, order it, then hope like hell that it fits. Why? Because that dress is special for you and you know they don’t come one size fits all. It’s the same with hair. No one person has the same head size, curl pattern, length etc.
I want that style…
How many times have you left the hair salon with something totally different than what you asked for? It’s likely that this happened because you saw this style on a picture and took it to your stylist and she didn’t have time to find out what areas you wanted from that style. I mean lets face it; sometimes we see a bang and that’s all we want rather than the entire look. Consultations allow for me to not only know what I am up against, but they allow for me to see your true vision as well.
The Reality of Hair…
My work, as seen on my website and social media, is exactly what you get! (Please note that doesn’t mean it will look the same on you because everyone’s hair is different. Kind of like your fingerprint.) The consult is to ensure that we can achieve the look you want and the look you can get.
For example, sometimes I have clients who want to leave their natural hair out after seeing a video of my Versatile Sew in but the peson in the videos hair may be super thick where as the prospective persons hair may be too thin.
My job as an artist is to not only give you what you want but to make sure that it looks BOMB.com!
I will never allow for you to walk out of an appointment with your tracks being seen because your hair is too thin. If you have any struggles with thin hair or short hair that is OK with me because if I can’t get you exactly what you want I’m positive that in our consultation we can find a happy medium.
Knowing what you want…
It is important that you read sew-in details. Knowing what you want to have is very important. I have had clients book the Vixen sew-in when they really wanted the versatile sew-in. I’ve had clients book for a natural part leave out when they really didn’t want to leave ANY of their natural hair out.
I get it, the terminology can be confusing. That is why I need those who have never been to ME before to go through a consultation. What your previous stylist might have considered a full sew-in, I’m almost sure that I don’t.
I will do my best to accommodate your personal needs. I understand I have clients who travel to me (and I am more than thankful for those who go out of their way for the TT experience). So, for those of you who live out of the area,Email or IMessage the following information to email@example.com:
1. Pictures of your natural hair (no extensions) and/or a video (360 view)
2. Indicate if your hair is thin or short.
3. Name the sew-in you would like to book, “I would like a versatile sew-in”
4. Ask any questions or concerns you have with booking. “I am concerned that my hair may be to thin. Attached are pictures of my hair in its natural state, please let me know what you think”
After I receive this I will respond with answers and ask any questions I may have!
My installs are booked an hour apart (leaving room for any unforeseen circumstances). My installs are booked on a strict time schedule that doesn’t account for anyone being tardy. If you are late to your appointment it will throw my entire day off. Because I operate on a strenuous rotation, I MUST have each client on time. Any person who shows up 15 minutes past their scheduled time will not receive service. I promise each client to spend 2-4 hours with me. Therefore, If you are not at your appointment within 15 minutes you WILL have to reschedule. Not only is this a loss to you (because my schedule is limited) it is a loss to me (now I cant pay KCPL, lol!).
I hope you understand that these procedures are not just in place for me as your stylist, but also for you! They create clear lines of communication! By following these procedures we can ensure that both your style and your experiecne reflect the flawless “TT experience” so many have come to know and love!
