That’s definitely true in both the world of hair, and the world of business. My business isn’t any different. One recent change in the world of TT Does It All, is my coloring policy.
Beginning immediately, I will no longer be coloring extensions that were not provided by me, via my hair site (view site here).
I recently had 4 clients request to have extensions colored by me. Two of them were my extensions and two were not. My extensions lightened perfectly, while the others requires multiple rounds of lightener (bleach). The product I use is very expensive, works PERFECTLY, and isn’t a powder like the usual lighteners. It’s made with beeswax to protect the hair from drying out during the process. I’ve even used it on my natural hair to color it pink, red, blue, and purple with NO damage at all. Working with extensions from other companies is a liability. If the hair doesn’t lift at all, I’ve wasted money and now have to explain to a client why I still have to charge them since their hair wasn’t truly virgin hair.
On the other end, what if the hair is damaged?
I’m then responsible for that hair. The client doesn’t know anything other than what the hair company tells them, which isn’t always the truth, unfortunately.
In order to protect both myself and the finished results of my client’s services, I chose to only color hair I know about and have dealt with!
Because of the quality of the product I use, my color prices start at $50.
If you’re wanting it all colored jet black it’s $50.
Custom colors (ex. 2 or 3 color combinations) start at $75 and go up depending on the extent of the color and amount of hair to be colored!
Please remember, the colors you request require DUPLICATE PROCESSING. The first process is to lighten the hair, and the second is to deposit the requested color onto the hair. It has to be lightened to get bold colors. Pink and blue won’t show up on top of black hair. So there’s no way, other than with lightener, to get those bold colored extensions you’d want! Double the process requires double the product which ALSO requires more time on my end!
